Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward
One mission
HSHPE cares for stray, abandoned, neglected, or abused animals in Hastings and Prince Edward counties. The organization works to reunite lost animals with their families, coordinate adoptions to permanent homes, provide medical care, offer spaying and neutering services to combat animal overpopulation, and raise public awareness about animal welfare.
Did you know that…
Their community shelter welcomes nearly 1,800 sick, abused, neglected, or homeless animals each year, providing them with a safe and compassionate space.
A deep commitment
The Hastings and Prince Edward Counties Humane Society (HSHPE) was founded in 1956 to protect abused and neglected animals in the region. From its humble beginnings in a garage, it has grown into a vital shelter, providing care and support to thousands of animals each year.
With Humane Society, every animal is in good hands.
